An icon. Then, now and forever. The new 911 Sport Classic is the second model from the Porsche Heritage Design Strategy, this time influenced from the '60s and early '70s. Limited to just 1,250 units, it combines historical design elements with state-of-the-art sports car technology to create a timeless reinterpretation of the iconic 911. Taking inspiration from the original 911 and 911 Carrera RS 2.7, the new 911 Sport Classic follows in the footsteps of the '997 generation' 911 Sport Classic, showcasing how classic design still deserves its time in the spotlight.
The exterior provides a striking, yet elegant look that harmoniously combines various design traits from different eras. Classic design features such as the iconic 'ducktail' spoiler, double-dome roof and Fuchs rim® design help to create a truly special presence. Whilst the distinctive front apron and SportDesign sideskirts integrate a modern touch. The Sport Grey Metallic exterior colour, reserved exclusively for the 911 Sport Classic, proves to be the perfect canvas for double stripe and personal start number decals.
The interior stays true to the spirit of the '60s and early '70s, with bold looks and plenty of personality. Characterised by the two-tone Classic Cognac semi-aniline leather seats, with black and white diamond Pepita pattern. This semi-aniline leather, previously used in the 918 Spyder, not only adds a touch a colour but creates an especially soft and natural feel. Elsewhere on the inside, you will find the historically inspired instrument cluster and Sport Chrono stopwatch, gold-coloured Limited Edition badging and Heritage Design floor mats.
The 911 Sport Classic not only stays true to Porsche Heritage in terms of its design, it stays true with its performance too. Using the current 911 Turbo as a platform, its flat-six twin turbo-charged engine produces 550PS and 600Nm of torque, ensuring ample power for all driving styles. The 7-speed manual gearbox adds extra emotion and involvement to the driving experience; allowing the driver to take full control with the shortened gear lever and automatic rev-matching.
The new 911 Sport Classic is the confluence of current and classic, combining a bold, extraverted appearance, with exclusivity and performance.
